7 Of The Duties Found For A Quantity Surveyor
Let's look a little deeper into what a Quantity Surveyor will actually be involved in. These services are extensive, but we'll try and hit on some of the most common. We will categorize this profession as one to accomplish the major costs of our project. Basically, the Quantity Surveyor is the person responsible for figuring out just what a building is going to cost and in some cases for making sure that construction costs and production are managed as efficiently as possible. Sometimes you will find a Quantity Surveyor involved in large airport or waterway projects.

We have made a list of some of these duties, and described them.

1) Employers Agent: The Employer's Agent duties are involved in performance related standards. Cost, time, and administration duties are usually their specialty. The client has a big say in what the outcome of the project should be due to the results they want to achieve from their building project. Management of a reliable project team, engagement with the stakeholders, and the future asset management teams are considered. Their goal is to secure an efficient and useful procurement strategy. Let's look at what a procurement strategy is.

2) Procurement strategy refers to the process used to take a building project from its early planning phases to completion and occupation by the building's users. The goal of a procurement strategy is to find out what the most suitable strategies are. Finding a plan of action to conquer the main intentions of the project. Risks that may arise during the delivery of the project, and how those risks might best be dealt with are the major concerns. The goal is to adopt a procurement strategy that is appropriate to the complexity of the building project.

3) Project Auditing is a useful auditing tool to help keep us heading in the right direction. The government has their own play in this project as well, and it is pertinent that we stay within the guidelines of governmental regulations. An audit appraisal of the building project is the goal. The results will give you a clear understanding of the overall project endeavor. Finding and auditing the project correctly will unveil all of the building project risks.

4) Due Diligence is involved in the inspection and examination to find likely problems. The investigations are commonly applied to voluntary investigations. Due diligence has a goal of assessing the buildings material goods and to prepare it for attainment of the user. This is another part of the project that will reveal to the user any unknown assets, and any would be problems.

5) Contract Administration: This is where the government and the contractor compare notes to see how well each of them did in reaching all of the goals as defined in the project contract. This includes all the aspects of the job, from the time it was awarded until the time the work has been deemed complete and paid for, as well as taking care of any disagreements by either of the parties, and accepted as a complete contract. This is the part of the procurement process that guarantees each party gets what they bargained for in the building project.

6) International Adjudication is the process of addressing any international guidelines that haven't been adhered to.

7) Claims Consultancy: Quantity surveying companies control construction costs with their Construction Cost Consultancy services. They provide feasibility estimates and advice on value engineering. These estimates encompass accurate measurement of the work, knowledge of costs of required work, labor, materials, and awareness of the implications of design decisions at an early stage. These decisions will ultimately ensure good support for the client.

Quantity surveying is a highly specialized profession requiring a variety of technical skills to support construction projects and insolvency cases. Each and every case is a prototype and requires highly qualified and professional surveyors and consultants to ensure complete satisfaction of the client. If you are in need of a service company that offers Quantity Surveying then you should consider using AA Projects. Their cost monitoring and reporting procedures ensure that the essential financial controls are in place to successfully deliver the project within budget.
